Would have loved to be your first in Evvia.

However, by the time of your first posting our ugly concrete & brick structure was almost done.

Would hardly call that 'ugly' ian! Looks quite attractive! Congratulations!
I really love the wide wrap around veranda where you can find shade any time of day, no matter where the sun is!

With so much land, perhaps you can buy a few of our one or two bedroom holiday houses for a few thousand and put those up! Then we have somewhere to stay when we all visit!

Kp, how can we work out the build costs for this, new technology & all that, not sure how the greeks will handle it. Trying to get an idea for budget & if finally we can get away from our mortgage.

Ha Farty, its doubtful that he got very far in the face of competition from a true entrepreneur, see this reprint from 3rd June 2008....

Having read with interest Kp’s promotion of his involvement in the world of supply and construction of affordable dwellings in Greece led me to wondering if my own small enterprise “surgicalsupport.com” could also become involved in this obviously lucrative niche in the market.

Accordingly I have been in contact with my UK partners “delnrodneymarkettraders.com” who inform me that they have been able to get their hands on a number of circa 1947 prefabs, until recently these desirable dwelling have been located in the Hackney area of London and have been lovingly maintained by the tenants, in fact many have been customised in a most interesting manner by their West Indian occupants.

The prefabs have been carefully dismantled by our team of Belgian and Bolivian craftsmen and flat packed before being containerised ready to be dispatched to your chosen location where providing that you are proficient with a large hammer and a selection of four and six inch nails (not provided) you should have no problem in constructing the dwellings.

However should you feel that you will need assistance in the construction of your new home we at “surgicalsupport.com” have recruited our own team of Albanian artisans who have successfully completed a half day training course devised by our own technical support people, so rest assured that our Albanians are at hand ready to assist.

Our prefabs are admittedly of a compact size as you would expect for the modest financial outlay, but why not purchase four, five or even six of these delightful little bungalows and fit them all together rather as you did with building blocks when you were kids, what fun!

So what are you waiting for, contact us at “surgicalsupport.com” today, the team are ready willing and able to help you realise your dream.

I see! A lack of market research is indicated....

Hello chaps..... yes, I'm afraid that you've hit the nail on the head with that one...... We've found the market here quite difficult in the face of professional opposition such as nimbus' friends delnrodneymarkettraders.com and surgicalsupport.com who are flooding the market with grossly overpriced pre-1974 style prefabs which needs all the skills of the albanian artisans to support it with their surgicalsupport implements!

Our own lack of progress in Greece has been exasperated by the fact that we don't have our first building here for people to see and feel..... it seems that this market is quite tactile and they want to grope the product first, which is probably why surgicalsupport.com did so well.

However....... always optimistic...... we have just quoted a builder on their own design 2 story villa of around 80sqm using our modular system and they were really pleased with our prices, so we're hoping that they will order and we'll have the our first house in Greece which can then be groped and seen and we are convinced that the moment ours is seen in the flesh, then people will recognise the folly of other designs needing surgical support to stand and will flock to ours!

So........ Kalogas, perhaps you would like to order one of our new designs for 2010 and be weaned off your love of surgical support?
We'll do you an excellent deal for bringing in the first one....... say 12000 euro for an 80sqm, 2 story villa with large verandas?
Come on..... don't be shy.

Well, how could anyone resist at that price.

Now where do I get 12K from.....

Good luck KP, hope your first sale does through. I'm sure you'll invite all members to the Villa sale party to finish off the dregs in your Ouzo bottle!

I'm not planning on building a house but when I do I will consider you. The houses are beautiful and yes it reminds me of the US.
