Just giving you a bump...
I think many people are going to be looking for someone to sort out the new rules. I know one guy in Athens that does private work, am not sure if his English is fantastic though, but I could see if he is interested. He's a real nice fellow, very polite and gentle natured.

Sorry to bring this down, but I have gone through 4 accountants in as many years and they are all rubbish. I have heard so many horror stories of really, utterly, unprofessional accountants here. I'm sure there must be one or two good ones around, but even my Greek friends have the same problems.
Our accountants in the UK are brilliant - send me reminders, do my tax returns and make sure everything is good and proper.
Here it is we who have to remind our accountants that our returns need to be filed, that they need to sort out bits and pieces and so on.
Sorry - ranting here. But my advice is that even if you do find a good accountant, check everything they do and don't expect them to do it properly!

Hey folks, I need a tax person too, but I'm here in Kalamata. Looking for someone who is...well, not retarded. I was through 5 in accountants in 2 years, and I'm about to dump another one. Needs to speak english.

We use Ioannis Mavreas. 64 Nedontos str. Kalamata 24100 tel 2721087632, 6974354355. We know a number of Ex Pats that use him. His English is very good. He has always been very fair and fee reasonable. Let me know if you want any more details
