There is a really good free website for Greek that has sounds and flash cards etc. You have to download a little programme but it is very helpful for beginners. Lots of other languages too. There is a paid version but for starters the free one is adequate.

I also recommend this program. It’s really worth having a look at.

theres also a site called http://www.livemocha.com which is free.. havent properly used it yet, but it had like phonetic sounds of everything and picture-word association and it has a community where you can talk to other people of that language and help eachother. Got referred to it by a friend who said it was really good and all free.

I’ve just finished the livemocha course. It’s okay if it’s used in addition to something else. The best part was being able to submit writing and getting it corrected by Greek speaking people. I made a list of all the new vocabulary and imported it to the Teach2000 program (which I also recommend for flashcard-style learning).
