It’s owned by a British couple who have decided to go back to the UK. As we are British with a UK bank account is it possible to pay in sterling? What costs would be involved…….. Lawyers fees…….. Notary fees…….. Transfer tax …….. Real estate transaction duty………. Anything else we could be fleeced for ? ? ? Would we also need a UK Lawyer, if we did, and it would be crazy to exchange Sterling for Euros and then the vendor to have to exchange it back to Sterling! Or could a UK Lawyer do it all ?
